How to Schedule / Edit a Match - Using TimeSlotsPrintable

Some Clubs do not allocate fields via the TimeSlots Mechanism. See How to Schedule Edit a Match - Conventional Method

Team Priority must be EQUAL or GREATER THAN TimeSlot Priority to select that TimeSlot. Contact your Club on how Team and TimeSlot priorities are set.

The HOME Team Officials can alter the Date, Time and Field for a HOME Match. The website records who and when these changes are made.

Initial Schedule: Step-by-step instructions

  1. Go to (Click on) TeamStaff segment (left hand side of the page)

If you are the TeamStaff of more than one team, be sure that you select the desired team as the Active team. The Active Team is highlighted in YELLOW

  2. Go to TeamStaff:MyTeam-Matches
  3. Select a Match Number in the Key # column
  4. Select from the available TimeSlots in the Pulldown. Grayed out TimeSlots are not available due to a comparison of your team priority to the TimeSlot priority. Team Priority must be >=TimeSlot Priority.
  5. Click Update

The requested TimeSlot will be checked against 'Rules' established by the Club or League. If the requested TimeSlot breaks a rule, a message stating this will be seen. If no rule is broken, the Match has now been scheduled. To confirm that the Match is scheduled: go to the “Matches” screen and note the presence of the newly created Date/Time/Field for the Match.

That is it. The data should populate the Schedule. It will also appear in the My Calendar function of your Team's Coaches, Managers, Players and Parents.

For a variety of reasons, you may need to change the date, time or field of a match which you have already scheduled.

If you are the Manager (or Coach) of more than one team, be sure that you select the desired team as the Active team. The Active Team is highlighted in YELLOW

  2. Go to TeamStaff:MyTeam-Matches
  3. Select a Match Number in the Key # column
  4. Edit the Date. Type in a new date for the Match. (In some circumstances, you will not be able to enter a date. Click on Update or Reschedule and then enter the date.)
  5. If appropriate include a comment in 'Change Reason'.

Examples: 'Opponent requested afternoon match due to coach conflict.' or 'City changed to other soccer field.'

  6. If Referees have been already assigned to the Match - Click on Reschedule. If no Referees have been assigned to the Match -Click on Update.

Can't find your Match? See Note 1 Below!

Note 1: The default is to show you the Matches in your future. (Date > Yesterday in the date comparator box.) If your Match has NO date assigned to it, the date comparator will NOT find your Match. Make the date comparator box blank to see ALL Matches - including those with no dates.

Note 2: You can not change a match date without the agreement of your opponent. All divisions with an odd number of teams get byes. Just because you have an open weekend, does not mean that your opponent does.

Note 3: Only TeamStaff from the HOME team can edit the match time, date or field.

Note 4: The default is to show you the Matches in your future. (Date > Yesterday in the date comparator box.) So, if you need to change the date of a Match that was supposed to be played last week, but wasn't (say due to a rainout), you can find that Match by changing the date in the comparator box - say to > 9/1/2000.

Note 5: If you make a change within -23 days of the Match, Notices of the change will be generated for the Primary Contact of your team. Notices are NOT automatically emailed. A Notice appears when the User logs on to the website. Changes made for a Match more than -23 days in future, will be reflected on the website, but NO NOTICE is generated.

Note 6: Common courtesy requires that you positively confirm via a phone call or an acknowledged email that your opponent is aware of the match time, date and field. Most of the Playing Leagues require posting of the match date, time and field at least 7 days prior. You must visit the Playing League website to communicate the change to your opponent!

Note 7: If your field is not in the pulldown, find the address of the field in Google Maps and send that information to the webmaster

Note 8: Times are restricted to 7 am to 11 pm.

Note 9: You can edit the Date. Click Update and the available TimeSlots for the new date will appear in the dropdown. Grayed out TimeSlots are not visible due to unfavorable comparison of Team Priority to TimeSlot Priority.

Note 10: To see all the TimeSlots, visit TeamStaff:TimeSlots

Note 11: If Referee(s) have been assigned to your Match, you can no longer change the Date, Time or Field for the Match. You can ReSchedule the Match which will Cancel the old Match and generate a New Match. Some Clubs impose fines for last minute changes after Referees have been assigned. .
