An Overview of RegistrationPrintable

There are two distinct and different Registration activities.

  1. CYSA-N Registration for Players, Adults and Teams

  2. RedwoodSoccer Playing League Registration for Teams

This RedwoodSoccer website will help with both CYSA-N and Redwood Playing League registration.

CYSA-N Registraion

Players, Coaches and Managers must belong to CYSA-N. They register through a RegistrationLeague.

Teams that belong to the Redwood League initiate their CYSA-N Registration here. To register the team:

  1. The Team Manager and Coach register as Users on this RedwoodSoccer website. Click on Logon in the Table of Contents along the left vertical edge of your screen. Click on Register. Follow the instructions. You should receive a Welcome Email with your Site Name and Password within 48 hours. Note: Some ISP providers block auto-generated emails and yours may be one. Contact the webmaster@redwoodsoccer.org if you don't get a timely Welcome Email.

  2. The Manager or Coach registers the team on the RedwoodSoccer website. Click on the 'Coach' or 'Manager' segments in the Table of Contents along the left vertical edge of your screen. There the Coach or Manger can Add a Team, Add Parents and Add Players to the database. The Coach or Manager can complete Team information such as colors, Team Staff and PlayingLeague.

  3. The Manager or Coach prints out a Registration cover page. Look for the registration icon adjacent to the team name when you enter the Coach or Manager segment. The icon is also visible at the top of the Register Team page. Clicking on the icon generates a pdf in Acrobat Reader

  4. The Manager or Coach collects 1601 forms, pictures, DOB documentation. If the Coach or Manager has inputted the Player and Parent information, the 1601 form can be printed from the website. Look for the register symbol adjacent to Player Names in the Roster.

  5. The Manager or Coach turns in this packet of material to their Club Registrar

The data collected on this RewoodSoccer website is NOT transferred to the CYSA-N database. The League Registrars enter that data directly into the CYSA-N database. The CYSA-N database is known as LeagueOne.

CYSA-N registration provides passes and insurance. Transfers, drops, and adds are handled through the CYSA-N system. Each Club has a registrar to assist teams with these issues. The two Redwood League registrars input the data and process the paperwork.

Redwood Playing League Registration

Teams that complete their CYSA-N registration through the Redwood Registration League may register with the Redwood Playing League. This Registration is completed here on the RedwoodSoccer website at the same time as CYSA-N registration. These teams can request to play in other Playing Leagues (Abronzino or Delgado for example).

Teams that are released to play in other Playing Leagues will have to register with that League. (In the past and perhaps in the future team registrations were transfered between the Leagues. For Fall 2007, this transfer mechanism is not working.)

Teams from other Registration Leagues (Foothill, District 1) that wish to play in the Redwood Playing League will have to register here at the RedwoodSoccer website. Follow Steps 1 & 2 above.
