Match interaction between RWL and Pensra Version 2

Match Update vs Reschedule

TeamStaff and ClubOfficers can change the TimeSlot for a match in RedwoodSoccer.org. This FAQ outlines the logic on how those changes are handled and how the comparable match is handled in Pensra.

This logic applies to matches where TimeSlots is in effect.

When TimeSlots is in effect, a Match can can have the Date Updated or the TimeSlot Updated. But NOT both at the same time.

When querying Pensra as to whether a Match exists, only look for Pensra matches with Status=Normal.

The TeamStaff or ClubOfficer when opening the Match detail via TeamStaff:Myteam-Matches or ClubOfficer:Manage-Matches will be offered either an "Update" or a "Reschedule" option.

• Reschedule if there is a corresponding match in Pensra with at least one referee assigned with Status=Accept/Turnback (referred to below as "with a Referee Crew")
• Update for all other cases

1. Match Date is not changed. TimeSlot is being set to Null. There is no Pensra Match.

• Update the RWL match with no Time or Field
• Release old TimeSlot to remove RWL Match# and change Status to Available and remove Team
• As there is no time or field do not create a match in Pensra.

2. Match Date is not changed. TimeSlot is being set to Null. There is Pensra Match with no Referee Crew.

• Update RWL match with no Time or Field
• Release old TimeSlot to remove RWL Match# and change Status to Available and remove Team
• Delete Pensra Match

3. Match Date is not changed. TimeSlot is being set to Null . There is a Pensra Match with a Referee Crew.

• RESCHEDULE Button is offered
• Cancel old RWL Match. Enter Note indicating new Match #
• Create new RWL Match with no Time or Field Indicate in Note rescheduled from old match number
• Release old TimeSlot to remove RWL Match# and change Status to Available and remove Team
• Cancel Pensra Match

4. Match Date is being changed. There is no Pensra Match.

• Update RWL Match with Date, Set Time and Field to null
• If there was a TimeSlot, Release TimeSlot to remove RWL Match # and change Status to Available and remove Team
• Display available TimeSlots for new Date

5. Match Date is being changed. There is Pensra Match with no Referee Crew..

• Update RWL Match with Date, Set Time and Field to null
• If there was a TimeSlot, Release TimeSlot to remove RWL Match # and change Status to Available and remove Team
• Display available TimeSlots for new Date
• Delete Pensra Match

6. Match Date is being changed. There is Pensra Match with a Referee Crew.

• RESCHEDULE Button is offered
• Cancel old RWL Match. Enter Note indicating new Match #
• If there was a TimeSlot, Release TimeSlot to remove RWL Match # and change Status to Available and remove Team
• Create new RWL Match with no Time or Field Indicate in Note rescheduled from old match number
• Display available TimeSlots for new Date
• Cancel old Pensra Match

7. Match Date is not changed. TimeSlot is being set to New value. There is no Pensra Match.

• Update RWL Match with Time and Field
• Update old TimeSlot (if applicable) to remove RWL Match#, remove Team and set Status=Available
• Update new TimeSlot to add RWL Match# and change Status to Reserved and add Team
• Add Match to Pensra

8. Match Date is not changed. TimeSlot is being set to New value. There is a Pensra Match and no Referee Crew.

• Update RWL Match with new Time and Field from TimeSlot
• Update old TimeSlot (if applicable) to remove RWL Match#, remove Team and set Status=Available
• Update new TimeSlot to add RWL Match# and Status=Reserved
• Update Pensra Match with new Time and Field

9. Match Date is not changed. TimeSlot is being set to New value. There is a Pensra Match and a Referee Crew.

• RESCHEDULE Button is offered
• Cancel old RWL Match. Enter Note indicating new Match #
• Add new RWL Match with new TimeSlot Time and Field. Add Note with Rescheduled from old Match #
• Update old TimeSlot (if applicable) to remove old RWL Match# , remove Team and set Status=Available
• Update new TimeSlot with new RWL Match#, HomeTeam and Status=Reserved
• Cancel old Pensra Match
• Add new Pensra Match with new Time and Field
