What are the 'Roles' for our Club?Printable

Everyone that has a Site Name is User on the website. Different Users can have different Roles. Each Role has a Segment. In each Segment the User with that Role has access to view, enter, edit or delete different parts of the database. Segment refers to a part of the website accessed via the Table of Contents boxes on the left edge of the page. There are many different Segments; Users can only see/access those segments associated with their Role. Some Segments are Public, meaning that they are available to all visitors to the website.

Here is a rundown of some of these Roles.

ClubOfficer
Access to theClubOfficer Segment. Tell the webmaster your ClubOfficers and their Titles. Also gets listed in the Clubs Segment.
Scheduler
Access to the Scheduler Segment. Can change the fields, times, dates for all the matches for the Club. Schedulers are associated with a Club, and are limited to editing matches for that Club. Clubs can have more than one Scheduler. Tell the webmaster if you want each Scheduler to be listed in the ClubOfficer listing or just the Scheduler and that the Club has back up people that can all access this data. Note: Managers and Coaches can also change the date, field and time for their home games.
Registrar
Access to the Registrar Segment. Can create teams, add players to teams, add coaches and managers to teams. Can edit Players, Coaches, Managers and Teams associated with their Club. Cozches and Managers can do similar functions for their Teams. Can edit Profiles of Players. Can also edit Profiles of Parents as long as the Parent has not logged onto the system. (Once a Parent has logged on , the Parent is responsible for their Profile.) A Club can have a backup Registrar(s) that can be or not be listed as a ClubOfficer.
Assignor
Access to the Assignor Segment. Can select matches for Self-Assign or Manual Assign. Can rank referees. Limited to Club home matches. A Club can have a backup Assignor(s) that can be or not be listed as a ClubOfficer.

Okay, I'm the Club President, How do I get all the volunteers in my Club to have these Roles?

Initially, (meaning now) these Roles are set by the Webmaster. Contact the webmaster and indicate who you want to have what Role in your Club. These people must already be a User in the database before they can be given Roles.
